A Letter From Rachel

Dear Shabby Family,

I founded Shabby Chic in 1989, and thru all the ups and downs, my guiding light has always been my unwavering passion to bring beauty, comfort and meaning into our homes. And I will continue to do so. There have been many eras of Shabby Chic – many transitions. My brand has pivoted several times - some were more challenging than others. And today I am announcing another pivot, one that calls for pause. With that said, after considering multiple scenarios, I have made the decision to pause operations and manufacturing for our collections on ShabbyChic.com. During the months of November and December we will be releasing our final collections of bedding and tabletop, with last orders for furniture being November 14, 2025. If there is something you’ve been longing for, now would be the moment to gather your treasures.

We will do our best to fulfill orders timely with grace but please be patient with us as we anticipate elevated sales. We expect being sold out by December 31st, 2025.

I am proud of the global licensing partners I have collaborated with closely over the years and Shabbychic.com will remain in place – with links of where my products can be found, as well as a place for me to communicate and share my new endeavors as they unfold. Spring 2026 I hope to meet many of you as I begin my Meadow Manor book tour. With a little more breathing room, I also look forward to hosting workshops and creative gatherings – in ways to create community, which may turn out to be the most beautiful chapter yet.

Please sign up for the newsletter to stay in the loop. In a world that celebrates constant motion and growth, choosing to pause can feel like the hardest – yet most honest – decision of all. I’ve realized that sometimes the most powerful way forward is to stop and take a breath, honor what’s been built and contemplate next steps. I know many of you have experienced similar moments of recalibration, and I hope this message resonates with you. As a creative and a businesswoman, running a business rooted in craftmanship, beauty and integrity it takes both heart and pure hard work – there have been impactful world changes, that have caused owning a business most challenging, but with taking a pause, and with my heart and creativity intact, my guiding light will lead me through.

To my Shabby Family, I have so much love and gratitude for your support and loyalty over the years, and I know with all my heart, it’s not the end of our story together. I hope you continue to walk through the doors of Shabby Chic with me, some familiar, some new, including just maybe, an actual door to our magical world of Shabby Chic.

Shabby Strong,
Rachel x
